Inkwell’s local fallen angels aren’t too good at doing their jobs. In their attempt to capture an otherworldly criminal, they manage to misplace their precious Book of Curses, leave a gaping hole in the multiverse, unleash fatal amounts of black energy into the living world, and kill one of two brothers walking home after a concert. Three months later, everyone affected by their shenanigans is still adjusting to life—and death. How distinct the two really are is debatable.
-
Gerard feels out of place in the living world, especially with his brother no longer a part of it. Gary and his inept gaggle of fallen angels decide to stop procrastinating. Lindsey sets out to save Inkwell. Frank makes good on his promise to Mikey, reaping some consequences that his new ghost friend didn't see coming in the process.
-
Never Nineteen seek to make an addition to their road crew. Lindsey learns that she has more work to do before she can seal the crack. Ghosts protest outside Headquarters. Ray makes an observation. Frank and Gerard return to the Mortuus to steal the Book of Curses, but their plans are complicated by the fallen angels’ discombobulation.
-
